I’ve been meaning to try audiobooks for awhile, and finally decided to give in.thinking what better way to test the waters than with a novella.and written by an author I love. But when the denouement played out, it put an oh-heck-yes smile on my face. There’s a very limited list of suspects, and I still didn’t guess correctly. A detective then arrives on the scene to suss out the killer. A dog walker brings a husky (all-time best doggos in the world - change my mind!) back from the dog park and finds its “owner” dead in the bathroom. What I loved most about Sleeping Dogs Lie is how the compact length of the novella cut all the fat and allowed the author to deliver one taut plot. I mean, if I’m at a buffet I’m going to eat, mkay?
